Reclaimed land

 A long time ago

I would find usual life

Very unusual

And today

It strikes again

To me

As I was listening to music

Laying down

I noticed a mosquito

Anticipating it to come

For my blood

It did come to me

And then flew back

I was mesmerised

Looking at it flying around

in abandon

A small flying creature

Like those cute mini cooking videos

Of those mini humans

Of those mini animals

Why was it not coming for my blood ?

The mosquito may not have been hungry

Once the meal is sorted

What else exists other than to have fun and roam around

Enjoying the movement of one’s body

Complete abandon and chilling out in nature

Unlike us

Humans

Not so easy

To simply have a meal

And then dance around and chill

There is a constant fight in the heart and the mind

It starts in the morning

And ends till one gets in bed at night

And may be during sleep too

Yet we understand

That feeling

We know that feeling

We all have lived that feeling

As a child

As a carefree young man

And I wish

All of you

a lot of such precious

Carefree chill moments
