And we got married 

I stopped eating sugar

The sweetness she brought in my life was enough

I don’t know what love was about 

But life is about this

Battles and demons

 I have seen many people 

Getting 

Rich

Famous

Fit

Powerful

What I have found very rare 

Is

Genuine 

Love

Friendship

Care

Respect 

Peace

Joy 

I know the battle is tough 

To fight one’s own inner demons

Yet,

Isn’t it the only battle worth a fight

I woke up 

After a good night’s sleep

The first thought 

That zoomed across my mind

As I watched into the mirror 

After splashing my face 

What will your answer be if someone asks about

“The best moment of your life “

The answer that came 

Was equally baffling for a morning 

The best moment of my life is 

“The few moments before when I splashed water onto my face “ 

No big awards day

No big emotional day with lover

No big day like marriage

Where is the story ? 

Days went by 

Stuck with the question and with the equally mysterious answer

Another question popped in an afternoon 

What is the most beautiful scenery that you have seen ? 

The answer was no less intriguing this time

It was the view out of the balcony with trees waving and sunlight falling on them

What ? 

Just an ordinary view out of my ordinary balcony 

Can’t my subconscious answer 

The places I have travelled with friends

The faces that have frenzied my hormones in youth

Again no story, no context , nothing big 

Just an ordinary view from the balcony at a random day and time 

There is hope in these answers 

All of us have stories 

Of parents not respecting our individuality 

Friends doing the same 

Lovers abandoning in the middle of a plausible sweet story

Health and wealth troubles 

Well may be the story doesn’t matter 

May be living matters

 

Those moments we spend 

With our own selves 

Floating amongst the stars, the flowers, the colours

Without any context, without any story 

Is the whole of life 

And the story is the small five percent 

And the raw , mysterious life is the whole 

Where we stand naked at the same level

As the kings, the pauper, the athlete, the old, the young , the males , the females , the animals 

And that is all that matters 

Really 

A common uncommon conversation

 A friend whatsapped me something 

“Roger That” was my reply

I was surprised 

By the choice of my words 

It somehow comes from nothingness

And fills the space just appropriately 

Lots of things and events pop up

When you are staring out of your balcony

As you have been for years now

And notice a tree that you never noticed

When you are walking through the same path

As you have been for years now

And notice an age old building you never noticed

Telling somehow a sad story amongst all the Shiny buildings around

When you are talking to a girl 

And notice an innocence and liveliness 

And for a moment pushed you out of the whole context of the  conversation 

Into a momentary nothingness 

These little moments 

From the unknown 

Is the language of the whole

And speaks to us all

Which somehow drives a message straight to the heart

And a smile blooms 

Some days are not every day

 Giggles 

Are a boat ride 

In the river of endless bliss

It gets you drunk

Without drinking 

Beauty enters the soul

Merging with the infinite sky

Love blossoms

Like the chirping of birds

On a beautiful evening sunset

The conversations grow

like an organic sapling

And the sleep comes

Like a log of wood 

It’s final
